Second Chance

Occasionally, I like to write poems that rhyme if I feel like it helps project the poem's meaning.

Run, fool, run, fool
Love draws near
It seeks a second chance
To whisper in your ear

Run, fool, run, fool
Love paints the sky
It seeks to soar above
And nest inside your eye

Run, fool, run, fool
Love's a blooming rose
It seeks to be seductive
Its breath inhaled by nose

Run, fool, run, fool
Love traces wind
It seeks  your hair to play with
And tries to hold your hand

Run, fool, run, fool
Love makes haste
It seeks to sit on tongues
And leave an aftertaste

Run, fool, run, fool
Love still draws near
It seeks a second chance
To win you back my dear

If you notice, love appeals to each of the five senses that I've written about within the first five stanzas of this poem.  The poem is called "Second Chance" because a past love is seeking a second chance to prove themselves. This poem is one of my simpler poems but the point of this is that the narrator is trying to run from something that will inevitably catch up to him because of how powerful love can be to the five senses.
